Join P2GreeN’s partner event at the EU Green Week!

The EU Green Week returns between Saturday, June 3rd, and Sunday, June 11th, and P2GreeN, a Horizon Europe funded project in which Moverim is a partner, will organize a partner event on new circular solutions for the fork to farm transition!

What is the EU Green Week?

The EU Green Week is the key event in the EU environmental policy calendar, an annual opportunity to debate, learn about, and celebrate EU environmental policy. The event helps to encourage individuals, communities, and organizations to take stronger action in the future to protect, preserve and restore our environment, for now, and for future generations, while constantly promoting sustainable development.

Over the years, the Green Week has achieved its goals by enhancing the understanding of EU environmental policies, fuelling debates about their development, and improving the EU’s overall image among citizens and stakeholders across Europe.

Partner events at the EU Green Week

In addition to the high-level conference in Brussels – which takes place on the 6th – 7th of June –organized by the DG Environment and the European Commission, the Green Week program includes a series of partner events organized across Europe to mobilise involvement and input from all sectors.

In line with the European Year of Skills, partner events for the 2023 edition will focus on skills for sustainable, resilient, and socially equitable communities. Throughout the week it will be possible to attend events organized by schools, universities, business associations, environmental organizations, civil society, and government agencies throughout Europe and beyond. These events aim to raise awareness and educate people about the importance of protecting the environment and promoting sustainable living practices. A variety of activities are planned, such as educational workshops, seminars, and green projects that highlight the importance of “green” skills that enable people to participate in and contribute to the ecological transition.

The P2GreeN Partner Event!

P2GreeN promotes the transition from a linear resource and nutrient system within the agrifood supply chain to a circular system of material flow between urban and rural areas, thus restoring the coupling of the water-food system according to the principle of the 3Rs “Reduce, Reuse, Recover.”

On the Green Week, P2GreeN will hold a partner event titled “P2GreeN: new circular solutions for the transition from fork to farm. Researchers and partners will present the vision of the project, talking about the skills and upskilling needed by regional actors and local authorities to implement successful nutrient recovery systems.

The event will include thematic sessions, delivered by the many partners of P2GreeN, and a final interactive session that will engage participants. The thematic sessions listed below will include an initial welcoming speech by the project coordinator.

  • Local Pilots – P2GreeN into action
