EUROPEAN PARTNERSHIPS IN HORIZON EUROPE: first calls in co-funded Cluster 5 and Cluster 6 partnerships

Moverim also participated in the INFO DAY HORIZON EUROPE – EUROPEAN PARTNERSHIPS: first calls in co-funded partnerships Cluster 5 and Cluster 6, held on the 21st and the 22nd of September. The event was organised by APRE, in cooperation with MUR and MISE, to introduce and comment on the new calls for co-funded partnerships Cluster 5 – Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) & Driving Urban Transitions to a sustainable future (DUT) and Cluster 6 – Biodiversa+ & Water4All – Water Security for the Planet.

But what are co-funded partnerships?

First of all, it is necessary to define that European partnerships are initiatives in which the European Union, national authorities and/or the private sector jointly commit to support the development and implementation of a programme of research and innovation activities. Partners may represent industry, universities, research organisations, bodies with a public service mission at local, regional, national or international level or civil society organisations, including foundations and NGOs.

Let us now turn to co-funded partnerships, which are those based on a joint programme agreed upon by the partners, and characterised by their concrete commitment through financial and in-kind contributions, to which is added the financial contribution from Horizon Europe.
In Cluster 5 of Horizon Europe there are two partnerships – Clean Energy Transition and Driving Urban Transition – as well as in Cluster 6Rescuing Biodiversity to Safeguard Life on Earth and Water4All. Over the course of the two-day event, all four partnerships were addressed and discussed in detail by national experts in the field.
