Questo progetto, guidato dalla Technical University of Denmark (DTU), \u00e8 finanziato dal programma Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Open del programma Horizon 2020 per sviluppare il primo pettine di frequenza on-chip al carburo di silicio.<\/p>\n<p>Il carburo di silicio (SiC) \u00e8 un materiale abbondante e la sua lavorazione \u00e8 compatibile con il metallo-ossido-silicio complementare (CMOS). Grazie all&#8217;ampio bandgap e alle sue eccezionali propriet\u00e0 ottiche non lineari, la sorgente luminosa del pettine di frequenza SiC coprir\u00e0 la banda ultralarga, dal vicino ultravioletto al medio infrarosso, dove disinfezione, illuminazione, comunicazione, biosensing e rilevamento dei gas hanno un&#8217;impronta individuale che non \u00e8 sempre coperta dai laser standard. Inoltre, il SiC \u00e8 di per s\u00e9 ecologico, biocompatibile e contribuisce a rendere i dispositivi pi\u00f9 durevoli ed efficienti. I partecipanti, quindi, si aspettano che il progetto abbia il potenziale per dare una svolta al campo delle comunicazioni ottiche.<\/p>\n<h3>Il ruolo di Moverim<\/h3>\n<p>Moverim si occupa di divulgazione, valorizzazione dei risultati e formazione. Utilizziamo le nostre conoscenze per elaborare strategie efficaci di divulgazione e valorizzazione rivolte a soggetti interessati, per garantire che i risultati del progetto siano promossi su vasta scala e vengano utilizzati nelle future attivit\u00e0 di ricerca.
